Frequently asked questions

  • What can I migrate from Deskpro?

    Tickets and messages (with original author and timestamp), people as customers, organisations as accounts, departments mapped to Tixallo teams, tags and core custom fields. Anything unusual can come across via CSV import.

  • What does NOT auto-migrate from Deskpro?

    Triggers and escalations, ITSM-specific records (CMDB, problem/change), portal theming, and any data only stored in an on-prem Deskpro instance you can't expose via API. SLAs are intentionally rebuilt in Tixallo so the rule semantics are predictable.

  • Will internal notes move over?

    Yes. Notes stay as internal notes and customer messages stay as customer messages.

  • What about custom fields and SLAs?

    Core fields are mapped automatically; unusual fields can come in via CSV. SLAs are re-created in Tixallo (Settings → SLAs) since rule logic differs.

  • Can I migrate gradually?

    Yes — run both side-by-side and only point your support@ forwarding at Tixallo when you're satisfied.

  • How long does Deskpro migration take?

    Most small teams cut over in a few days. The import runs in the background; the slow part is rebuilding triggers and SLAs. For very large or on-prem Deskpro instances plan a longer parallel-run window.

  • Do I need to pay to migrate?
